Children

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6

Our children’s ministry is designed for children in Kindergarten – 6th grade. Through Bible stories, Sunday School, children’s church, AWANA and other events and activities, your child will be nurtured in their faith.

Sunday School

Children may attend their own age-appropriate class Sunday mornings at 9:00 am.

Sunday Morning Worship

Childcare is provided for children birth-5 years old. Children ages 5 – 5th grade will be dismissed during the worship service to attend a time where biblical principles are taught in an age-appropriate manner.

Senior Adults

Sardis is blessed with a very active community of senior adults. We offer great opportunities for older adults to get to know others who care about them and to grow in their relationship with Christ. Some of the opportunities we enjoy are Worship and Sunday School; monthly Day Trips; conferences, and more.

Adults

God made every person with a longing to belong. Here at Sardis, belonging means a lot more than just joining a church. Belonging means having a connection to a faith family for support, relationships, and spiritual growth. We desire to assist adults in connecting, growing and serving in order to become fulfilled followers of Christ. We also believe that the key to a healthy church is small groups. At Sardis, we provide many small group opportunities.

Sunday School

Sunday School small groups meet Sunday mornings at 9:00am. Our desire is to provide environments where adults can gather to learn practical ways to make their personal walk, their marriage and their families stronger through life-changing Bible study.
The following classes are currently available:

  • Women’s classes – currently 2 options
  • Men’s class – currently 1 option
  • Couples classes – currently 3 options
Women’s Weekly Bible Studies

One (1) study/year, usually in the spring.

Women’s Local Missions

Our women meet on the 2nd Monday every month and find creative ways to minister to those in need who are in our community.

Men’s Monthly Gathering

Men get together on the 4th Tuesday of the month to enjoy fellowship, a great meal, encouraging music, and an inspiring message.

Cooking Teams

Four teams rotate throughout the school year to prepare our Wednesday night suppers.

Ramp Ministry

This team gathers on as “As Needed” basis to build ramps for people who are approved through our application process.

Worship

Worship is more than what we say or sing. It is what we do. It is a lifestyle. It is recorded in John 4:23-24 “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Our Worship Ministry emphasis is two fold: “Building Community and Practicing Excellence.” We have many groups with these objectives in mind.
