Prayer

Mark 1:35

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Mark chapter 1 records a snapshot of Jesus and his super busy life. He has started getting His ministry team together, He is teachings, He is healing the sick and casting out the demonic and vs 33 says all the city was gathered at the door. Everybody wanted something from Him. Yet in the midst of all He was doing He MAKES (not takes) time to pray. He gets up early before others, finds a quiet place and talks to His Father.

I believe passages like these were intended to teach us the necessity and value of prayer. Our lives today are so busy that it will drain us to a point of ruin unless we get back to the practice of prayer. Today make a point to pray for purity of mind, a passionate heart for serving others and power to overcome the obstacles in life.
